Week 15 - 6th Grade Results

Mrs. Myers on Thursday
Good news - this is the final training day!  Students will be working on a review worksheet.

New Workbook Format
Instead of giving the workbook pages, I'm listing the chapter/lesson.  The workbook is in order of chapter/lesson, so it should still be easy to find.  The reason for the change is that the workbook pages online don't line up with the ones in the actual workbook, so hopefully this will lessen any confusion.

On Friday, the 6th grade students took their Unit 3 Test on Fractions.  Fractions are a difficult concept and the overall scores are the lowest of the three tests.  Our Big Goal was for each student to demonstrate at least 80% mastery of the objectives.  There were several outstanding performances from students that I would like to recognize.

There were no perfect scores.

There were 2 students who were near perfect, answering 24 out of 25 questions correctly: Mako Goldston and Anny Tran.

And the following 25 students also achieved the Big Goal of 80% mastery, answering at least 20 questions correctly: Kristin Madruga, Aidan Corral, Cierra Rucker, Danny Martinez, Catherline Salazar, Karly Brooks, Balsharan Dhillon, Chelsi Dimick, Pauline Nguyen, Angela Kurysh, Diana Rendler, and Nhu Nguyen.

Congratulations to all of our hard-working students!

Students have received their tests back and are able to re-work the problems that they got wrong (as practice and review) and will be able to re-take the test (for full credit).  Students needing assistance can get help in the homework center and math lab.  The re-take will take place in the Math Lab on Wednesdays or by appointment.
