Unit Test Next Thursday
Our final unit test of this semester will be next Thursday, December 15. This will be the last grade entered for the semester. Next week, we will spend one day on the relationship between distance, rate, and time and the next two reviewing for the test. If you'd like to get a head start, the test will be on the material from chapters 5 and 6 from the book.
This Week
This week, we will round out our study on percents as seen in commission, sales tax, profit, and simple and compound interest. Students will be expected to memorize the formula for simple interest (I=Prt where I = interest, P = principle, r = interest rate as a decimal, and t = time in years), but the formula for compound interest will be given.
Homework for the week is as follows:
Monday (12/5) - WB 6-6 # 3, 4, 5
Tuesday (12/6) - WB 6-6 # 6, 7, 8
Wednesday (12/7) - WB 6-7 # 1, 4, 10
