Week 33 - CST Week

This week is CST week. Every day this week (including Monday which has no testing) is a minimum day and students will be released at 12:30pm. There will be no homework (and no Homework Center or Math Lab) this week.

The students have worked very hard this year and I am excited for this opportunity to demonstrate how much they have learned! I hope you can help them get to bed early and eat healthy meals this week to fortify their minds and bodies.

For my 3rd period 6th grade Pre-Algebra class, we will be using the extra block of time each testing day to exercise our minds with different games and puzzles. I will be alternating the games and puzzles with preparation for the following week's Algebra readiness exam. The Algebra readiness exam will be administered on Friday, May 13. This is the entry exam for Algebra 1. In order to qualify for Algebra 1 next year, 6th grade students must have an A or B in Pre-Algebra and pass the exit exam. Please let me know if you have any questions (amy_li@sjusd.org).
