Week 8 - 6th grade Unit Test

Substitute on Thursday
This Thursday, October 14, there is a mandatory textbook training for 6th grade and Pre-Algebra at the District Office.  I will not be on campus and there will be a substitute teacher.  This is the second of a 5 day series.  Students will be working on a worksheet during class.  Homework assigned on Wednesday and Thursday will be due on Friday.  I expect all students to respect the teacher and work quietly.  The substitute teacher will be Mr. Lou Ayala, a former John Muir teacher.  Mr. A taught for 39 years and is a solid teacher and dear friend.

Homework Center and Math Lab
Homework Center and Math Lab are great resources for students to get help after school at school.  Homework Center is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for 2 hours in the Library and there are math teachers that work there.  Math Lab is open on Wednesdays and Thursdays for 1 hour in room 802.  Both are free and students can come and leave at any time.  The late bus departs at 4pm for students wishing to stay, but take the bus home.
